TEMPTED TO EAT

 

Calorie intake is a very important aspect of weight loss. Many times, we start a new diet, and after a week or two, we are back again to square one. How many times do you rush into the next fast food to order a cheese burger or ice cream, promising yourself that you would burn it off once you get home! Do you know that a double cheese burger is approximately about 500 calories?  What we might not know is the actual work out we need to do to burn off those 500 calories!

For someone who weighs about 160lbs, to burn off that cheese burger, you would have to do one of the following:

1.         Swimming for fifty minutes

2.         Aerobics for about an hour 9 minutes

3.         Dance non stop for sixty minutes

4.         Jogging for forty five minutes

5.         Dance for 1 hour!

All the above just for 1 double cheese burger!

Always bear in mind that the recommended calorie intake for losing weight is about 1500kcal everyday, but this may vary according to body weight. Reducing your calorie intake levels to anything less than 1000 is dangerous to your health. Besides starvation makes the body go into save mode, reducing its metabolic rate to preserve energy. So in the long run you are losing out.

Try to stick to your diet, it is always worth it. Also calculating the value of everything you eat would help you know how much goes in, as you might be eating a lot unknowingly.
